Notification of change of address

According to Finnish legislation, you must always submit a notification of move if you move permanently into a new home or if your temporary stay at another address is longer than three months. You also have to inform the authorities if you are leaving Finland to move abroad, moving to Finland from abroad or changing your address abroad.

You can submit a notification of change of address at www.posti.fi/changeaddress. You should submit the notification no later than a week before moving, so your mail will be delivered to correct address.

Make sure you will also notify insurance companies, banks, schools and possible other organizations that you are involved with.
